The Swedish Data Protection Authority (IMY) announces the organization of a webinar on the secure use of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector.
Organized for October 21 in collaboration with the Swedish Medical Products Agency (Lkemedelsverket), this webinar will address data protection rules and security requirements applicable to digital products using AI to process personal data for medical purposes. The objective is to clarify the obligations of healthcare providers, who must ensure that AI systems comply with both the GDPR security requirements and the performance standards of the Medical Device Regulation (MDR). The event, part of the national campaign "Think Safely," will specify the criteria for an AI system processing health data to be qualified as a medical device.
