The Spanish authority launches 'The Keys to...', a new dialogue format on privacy and emerging technologies
The Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) has announced the launch of a new audiovisual dialogue format, entitled "The Keys to...", aimed at analyzing issues related to data protection and emerging technologies with specialists.
This format, integrated into the "Dialogues on Privacy" section of the AEPD Laboratory, aims to analyze the digital challenges for specialists and the general public through live interviews with the possibility of interaction. The first episode, scheduled for October 6, 2026, will be dedicated to "Neurotechnologies and neurodata" and will feature the intervention of the president of the AEPD and a constitutional law professor from the National Distance Education University (UNED). The debates will focus on the legal issues related to the protection of brain data in light of the GDPR and fundamental rights. This approach is part of the ongoing work of the Ibero-American Data Protection Network (RIPD), which recently adopted a document on the subject under the coordination of the AEPD.
