The Polish President Signs the First Law Implementing the Digital Services Act (DSA)
The President of the Republic of Poland has signed the law transposing part of the Digital Services Act (DSA).
This law of 4 September 2026, whose signing was recommended by the president of the Personal Data Protection Authority (UODO), aims to complement the GDPR to strengthen the protection of fundamental rights in the digital environment, notably for minors. It designates the president of the Office of Electronic Communications as the coordinator of digital services and establishes a regime of administrative pecuniary sanctions against intermediary service providers who fail to comply with their obligations.
