The Polish authority organizes a webinar on the protection of patients' personal data and the obligations of healthcare actors
The Polish Data Protection Authority (UODO) announces the organization of a webinar on the protection of patients' data in the healthcare sector.
This online seminar, entitled "Protection of personal data in medical entities – obligations of providers, processors, controllers and patients' rights," will be held on November 13, 2026. This initiative follows a series of medical data breaches that led the President of the UODO to announce audits at MyDr and Qbusoft, as well as additional inspections in other entities in the healthcare sector. The program will notably cover the distinction between controller and processor, the legal bases for processing, the analysis of data breaches, patients' rights, and the role of codes of conduct. The presentations will be delivered by the President of the UODO, members of the Social Expert Team attached to it, and representatives of the authority.
