The Polish authority organizes two days of meetings and consultations on data protection in the Lublin and Świętokrzyskie regions

The Polish Office for Personal Data Protection (UODO) conducted an awareness and training initiative on data protection in several cities on November 3 and 4, 2026.

As part of its "UODO on a national tour" program, the authority organized meetings in Lublin, Ćmińsk, and Kielce aimed at informing citizens, educational institutions, businesses, and public institutions. In Lublin, the interventions focused on raising young people's awareness of digital risks and on the processing of children's images on social networks. Workshops for data protection officers and entrepreneurs addressed data breaches, risk analysis, and the implementation of cybersecurity legislation in compliance with the GDPR. Free consultations for residents and meetings with local and university authorities were also held to strengthen cooperation in education.

In Ćmińsk, the visit focused on an intervention in a school to discuss the safety of young people in cyberspace, responsible use of technologies, and protection of online images. The risks related to artificial intelligence for creating manipulated content were specifically mentioned. Students also presented artistic performances on the theme of data protection and the right to privacy.

In Kielce, a meeting was organized for data protection officers and public sector administrators, focusing on their role and position within organizations. The president of UODO highlighted the increase in the number of complaints, the authority's involvement in the legislative process, and the development of codes of conduct. He noted that "society's awareness is constantly increasing, as evidenced by the number of complaints filed with UODO. The level of knowledge is increasing, but this does not always translate into decision-making." Individual free consultations were also offered to residents.
