The Polish authority inspects MyDr following a health data breach

The Polish data protection authority (UODO) will inspect the company MyDr following a health data breach.

This audit follows notifications of personal data breaches issued by healthcare institutions that are clients of the MyDr application. The company acts as a processor for these medical entities. Although the full extent of the breach is not yet fully known, media reports suggest it could involve around 12,000 establishments. The UODO inspection aims to examine the technical and organizational measures implemented by the company. The controllers will verify whether these safeguards were regularly tested in light of evolving threats and whether the risk analysis properly considered potential dangers to the processed data, as well as whether its results were concretely applied.
