The Polish Personal Data Protection Authority (UODO) announced the continuation of its initiative "UODO on a national tour" with planned visits to the voivodeships of Lublin and Świętokrzyskie.

This campaign, launched in September 2024, aims to raise awareness among citizens, businesses and local authorities about data protection and cyber threats, in the absence of regional branches of the authority. On 3 and 4 November, the president and experts from UODO will speak in Lublin, Ćmińsk and Kielce. The main topics addressed will be the processing of children's images on social networks and protection against digital threats.

In Lublin, on 3 November, the UODO delegation will visit a primary school awarded the "Educational Initiative of the Year 2025/2026" contest for a meeting on privacy and new technologies. Consultations for residents will be held at the City Hall. A meeting is also planned for schools and data protection officers (DPOs) on children's images. Finally, a workshop on data breaches and a conference on the implementation of the national cybersecurity system law will be organized for DPOs and entrepreneurs at the Lublin Science and Technology Park, before a meeting with the city authorities.

On 4 November, UODO will go to Ćmińsk to another awarded primary school to discuss digital security and "deepfakes". In Kielce, public consultations will be organized at the City Hall. A meeting dedicated to the role and position of the DPO will be held with DPOs and data controllers, co-hosted by the president of UODO and the director of the law and new technologies department. The day will end with meetings with the authorities of the city of Kielce and the Office of the Marshal of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.
