The Polish Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) announces the holding of a conference on data protection in the healthcare sector, organized in collaboration with the Hospitals of Pomerania s.à r.l.

The event will take place on September 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Marshal's Office of the Pomeranian Voivodeship in Gdańsk. The topics addressed will focus on the processing of health data, the protection of patients' privacy, and the challenges posed by new technologies, in a context of increasing digitization of the sector. The president of the UODO will deliver an opening speech entitled "Data protection in the healthcare sector – experiences and challenges." A department director of the UODO will also participate in a roundtable on reconciling data protection, patients' rights, and technological innovation. The conference, under the honorary patronage of the president of the UODO, will bring together many experts, including members of the Social Expert Team advising the president of the UODO.
