The Polish Data Protection Authority (UODO) and the Public Procurement Office co-organized a series of conferences on data protection in the context of public procurement.

On September 18, 2026, the second conference focused on strengthening skills in public procurement law and strategy and the challenges of data protection. The presentations addressed transparency in light of the regulation, the data protection model based on the principle of data protection by design, and an overview of the case law of the National Appeals Chamber. Other presentations, by representatives of the company Open Nexus, covered the management of GDPR data security to the NIS 2 Directive, as well as how small public orders influence daily awareness of data security.

The first conference of this series was held on April 17, 2026, at the UODO headquarters, on the theme of designing data protection in public procurement in the face of new technologies. During this event, a UODO representative highlighted the similarities between public procurement law and personal data protection regulations.
