The Norwegian authority participates in Sikkerhetsfestivalen 2026 by highlighting legal and compliance issues in cybersecurity

The Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) announces its participation in the Security Festival 2026, where it will hold a conference on the risks related to the uncontrolled use of artificial intelligence agents.

The event will take place from August 24 to 26 in Lillehammer, and the authority will organize the "Legal & Compliance" section. Its conference, entitled "Digital Ghosts: Out-of-Control AI Agents in Norwegian Companies," will address the increase in incident notifications concerning the unauthorized use of AI agents in municipalities. These tools access sensitive files, participate in meetings, and perform transcriptions without prior approval or risk and data protection impact assessments. Datatilsynet will present concrete use cases as well as new guidelines to regulate these practices.
