The Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) is launching a call for ideas to guide its future regulatory sandbox projects.

The authority is seeking contributions from any individual or organization to identify priority challenges in data protection. Suggestions may concern emerging technologies, legal grey areas, or societal issues, and will help the authority select future participants for its sandbox to promote responsible innovation. It is not necessary to have a concrete project to submit an idea.

At the same time, the authority reminds that applications for already mature projects ready to join the sandbox are accepted continuously, with no deadline. Entities whose projects raise real data protection challenges can therefore apply at any time.
