The Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) of South Korea awarded three companies during the first edition of the "2026 Grand Prize for Personal Data Protection and Utilization Technologies," aimed at promoting innovative technologies in this field.

The company ONAEPEOPLE was awarded for its solution "CatchSecu v1.0," a software as a service (SaaS) platform based on artificial intelligence. This tool automates the complete lifecycle management of personal data, from collection to destruction. It allows classification of information, generation of consent forms, management of encryption and access control, and ensures irreversible data deletion, all without requiring specialized technical knowledge.

The company NHN Dooray! was recognized for its integrated collaborative platform "Dooray!". Although not exclusively a data protection tool, it incorporates this aspect into all its features, such as messaging or videoconferencing. The solution stands out for its infrastructure-level built-in security, including continuous monitoring and encrypted communications, as well as data loss prevention (DLP) features and interfacing with digital rights management (DRM) systems.

The company L7 SECURITY was distinguished for its solution "ImageOCR & OCR Filtering V3.0." This product, based on a proprietary optical character recognition (OCR) engine, identifies and blocks personal data contained not only in texts but also within images and scanned documents. It operates during content upload on a website as well as at file download, allowing management of personal information even in previously published images and reducing risks of leaks due to human errors.
