The Icelandic Data Protection Authority (Persónuvernd) and the Federation of Icelandic Industries (SI) are preparing to organize three meetings aimed at companies in the technology and intellectual property sector.

The objective is to strengthen the dialogue on data protection, innovation, and best practices in the development and use of new technological solutions, while ensuring the rights of users. These meetings aim to create an open discussion forum between companies and the authority, focusing on practical training and concrete issues, notably concerning the application of the GDPR. The first meeting is scheduled for November 2026 and will be followed by training sessions or workshops. The initiative aims to improve companies' knowledge and promote greater predictability in the implementation of the rules.
