Eva Karin Dahle appointed new communications director of the Norwegian authority
The Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) has announced the appointment of its new communications director.
She took office in September 2026 to lead the communications department and join the management team. She has previous experience within the Mediation Service, the Ombudsman for Children, the Ministry of Finance, and the Tax Administration. Her mission will be to ensure clear and relevant communication from the authority, in order to strengthen its participation in the public debate on data protection issues. The director of Datatilsynet described this position as key to fulfilling the institution's missions.
