The director of the Croatian Data Protection Authority (AZOP), in his capacity as Vice-Chair of the European Data Protection Board (EDPB), reaffirmed the importance of cooperation between supervisory authorities during an event in Kosovo.

On 25 June 2026, at the invitation of the Commissioner of the Kosovo Agency for Information and Privacy, the director of AZOP participated in the ceremony marking the 5th anniversary of this agency and the 15th anniversary of the personal data protection body of the Republic of Kosovo. He highlighted the long-standing collaboration between the Croatian and Kosovar authorities, characterized by the exchange of knowledge and best practices to strengthen regulatory capacities and public awareness. He also emphasized that personal data protection is an important aspect of Kosovo's European integration process, as it demonstrates a commitment to fundamental rights and the strengthening of democratic institutions. The acting President of the Republic of Kosovo thanked the Vice-Chair of the EDPB for his support in obtaining observer status for the Kosovar agency within the board.
