The Spanish authority reopens registration to the public network of research groups and projects on privacy and emerging technologies
The Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) has announced the reopening of registrations to its Public Network of research groups and projects on privacy and emerging technologies.
This initiative, integrated into the AEPD Laboratory, aims to build a scientific and technical community to encourage collaboration and new avenues of work. The new registration phase, opened following a presentation day of the AEPD Laboratory Activity Plan, now allows the membership of research groups that could not register during the first call, as well as individual researchers not affiliated with specific projects. The network, which already includes universities and public and private research centers, will hold its first in-person meeting on October 29, 2026.
Furthermore, the AEPD Laboratory invites network members to collaborate on its Blog to promote knowledge exchange. A dedicated space for "Initiatives and projects" is also available, where content submission is not limited to network members but open to any institution wishing to communicate on relevant privacy initiatives.
