The RIPOST bill, currently under review at the National Assembly, proposes to expand the surveillance capabilities of vehicle movements.
This bill plans to extend access to the central file of automatic license plate readers (LAPI), which contains over 60,000,000 vehicles, to minor and politicized offenses, whereas it is currently limited to terrorism and organized crime. The law also envisions centralizing data from numerous municipal LAPI systems and extending the retention period of this information, which includes the plate, location, date, time, and potentially the occupants' faces, up to one year.

The government plans to introduce an age verification requirement at the entrance to social networks to prohibit access to those under 15 years old.
This measure would imply that all users, regardless of age, would have to prove their identity to access these platforms. Such a procedure is described as a heavy process of lifting anonymity, without any guarantee of confidentiality of the collected data.
