A document from France Travail dated December 2025 reveals the deployment of an algorithm aimed at verifying the effective job search. This system identifies files according to predefined variables to submit them to agents. At that date, 7,000 people who had benefited from a conventional termination had been subject to this experiment, and a new phase was in preparation. Fears of discriminatory targeting of the most precarious people are expressed, similar to the algorithm of the Caisse d'Allocations Familiales (CAF).
The Parliament has definitively adopted a law prohibiting access to social networks for minors under 15 years old.
This prohibition, scheduled to come into force on September 1, could force platforms to require identity documents for age verification. The broad definition of the term "social network" could include messaging services and Fediverse platforms. The Constitutional Council has been seized and must render its decision at the end of August before a possible promulgation of the law.
The Constitutional Council censored on July 23 a provision of the SURE bill relating to genetic genealogy.
The invalidated measure would have authorized the police to access, without the consent of individuals, the DNA databases of foreign companies offering recreational genetic tests, which are otherwise prohibited in France. The Council judged that the conditions for recourse to these databases lacked precision. However, it suggested that a more regulated version of the measure could be deemed constitutional, leaving open the possibility of its future reintroduction.
