The Polish authority for the protection of personal data (UODO) is co-organizing an online conference on September 4, 2026, focusing on the challenges related to the application of the law on access to public information and data protection.
Organized for the 25th anniversary of this legislation with the University of Łódź, the University of Wrocław, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University, and the Social Expert Team to the President of the UODO, the event will focus on reconciling transparency in public life with data protection, a challenge complicated by technological evolution. The debates, which will be opened by the President of the UODO, Mirosław Wróblewski, will address the practical interpretation of the provisions, abuse of the right to information, data processing in Public Information Bulletins and the Central Register of Contracts, as well as new challenges related to artificial intelligence.
