The German authority organizes the third reflection on the Data Act in Berlin
The Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDI) is organizing its third workshop dedicated to the Data Act (DA).
This event, intended for expert representatives from the economy and civil society, will take place on July 7, 2026, from 10:00 to 14:00 in Berlin. The discussions will mainly focus on the interaction between the GDPR and the DA, particularly on data sharing issues provided for in Chapter II of the DA. The new allocation of responsibilities between the Federal Network Agency, acting as the "single point of contact," and the BfDI for data protection aspects under the national implementing law of the Data Act will also be examined. Designed as an open dialogue, the workshop invites participants to share their questions and practical experiences. Registration is required before June 23, 2026, as places are limited.
