The Conference of Freedom of Information Delegates in Germany (IFK) has adopted a resolution supporting the use of artificial intelligence for anonymizing court decisions.
By a resolution dated July 24, 2026, the IFK encourages the use and development of tools based on artificial intelligence to anonymize judicial decisions. The authority considers that this technology represents an opportunity to broaden public access to case law while reducing the workload that this process represents for courts and judicial administrations.
