The EDPB updates the collection of one-stop-shop decisions on the right to object and the right to erasure
The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) has published an update to its thematic case collection of the one-stop-shop mechanism concerning the right to object and the right to erasure.
This collection, developed within the framework of the support expert group program to promote cooperation among data protection authorities, compiles the most important decisions arising from the one-stop-shop mechanism based on Article 60 of the GDPR. The document provides guidance on how authorities analyze organizations' internal processes to comply with these rights, lists the most frequent infringements, and presents an overview of corrective measures imposed. The cases addressed include exercising the right to object to direct marketing or the deletion of online accounts and profiles. The update was motivated by the adoption of hundreds of new decisions related to these rights since the initial version.
