The Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) of South Korea held an on-site training and advisory session on July 3, 2026, aimed at public organizations and businesses in the Daejeon region.
The objective was to enhance data protection skills and promote a culture of secure data use. The session focused on concrete cases of data breach incidents and the interpretation of legislation, with consultations conducted by current and former officials to address practical difficulties faced by participants. It also presented policies related to the use of pseudonymized information and "My Data" services in the era of artificial intelligence, based on the achievements of the Daejeon Pseudonymized Information Utilization Support Center, opened in 2023. The PIPC announced that these sessions will continue in other regions of the country until the end of the year.
